Taize Prayer Services TBA
Our monthly Taize Prayer Services are now held in our Fellowship Hall on the First Sunday of each month at 9:15 am.
With the ever increasing stresses in our lives, the prayer services focus specifically on God's love, mercy and compassion for us.
What is Taize Prayer?
Taizé prayer is a quiet simple way of prayer designed for people of all Christian traditions. These meditative, candlelit services include simple chants sung repeatedly, reflective silence, and prayers of praise and intercession.
Taize is an ecumencial community in the Burgundy region of France. The community was founded by Brother Roger, who had a strong call to a ministry of reconciation for all Christian denomimations and for World Peace. The meditative and musical style of the service is based on the liturgy of Taize. You can find the Community’s website at: www.taize.fr
Taize Prayers at Grace
The Service itself is a Prayer within a prayer, where we share music, scriptures, prayer and meditation in our candlelit Sanctuary. You may find it a deeply moving 45 minutes, and we invite you to remain seated as long as you like after the closing prayer.
