The Ryerson Camp Group
A Small Group Ministry
- - In 2005, a group of men and women from Grace began the task of refurbishing the male counselors’ cabin at Ryerson Camp. Generous financial donations from Council, UCW, Lunch Bunch and individuals, have let us install a new steel roof, a new water heater, new screens and front door, steps, and plumbing and electrical repairs, in the male counselors’ cabin. The congregation donated furniture to replace worn pieces. Bathroom fixtures, plumbing and a ceiling were replaced and curtains added, in the female counselors’ cabin. New steel roofs were put on the boys’ washroom, female counselors’ cabin, and the maintenance building. St. Jacobs’ United Church has taken over the women’s cabin, so we will be doing future projects on the men’s cabin. There is much to do yet! Now that spring is here in 2009, we will be continuing our support with labour.
May 2009 Update" $341 was raised from the free-will offering on Camp Sunday, plus an additional donation of $525 from Local Missions.
July 2009 Update: There was much activity at the camp the week of July 13.
- 9 campers and counselors attended a Bike and Tent camp.
- 49 attended a Music and Drama camp with a performance at the end of the week.

Ryerson Camp
On Ontario's South Coast Lake Erie, Ryerson is a pleasant drive from Hamilton, Brantford and London. The site atop sandy bluffs is situated at the heart of 68 acres of beautiful mature Carolinian forest - which has been offering an ideal wilderness setting for fantastic Christian summer camp experiences since 1924.
